RETAIL STAFF MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY LIMITED is a staff welfare organization registered under Section 7, CAP 26 of Northern Cooperative Society Law 1956 of Nigeria on 9th February 2014. The Cooperative draws its membership from the following:
- Willing staff of NNPC Retail Limited.
- Willing staff of the Corporation (NNPC) and its Subsidiaries.
- Willing retirees of the Company, the Corporation and its Subsidiaries.
- Employees of the Retail Ltd Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Limited, Abuja.
- Persons admitted in accordance with the Cooperative Bye-laws.
At present, the Cooperative is composed of a diversified membership that cuts across the NNPC Group: Corporate Headquarters (CHQ), NAPIMS, NGC, NGMC, NPSC, PHRC, NNPC Retail, PPMC and Retail Cooperative.
The principal activity of the Cooperative is to aggregate savings from members, pool the funds together and provide members with efficient and value-added services and products by engaging in business activities as provided in the Cooperative’s Bye Laws including the acquisition and management of Filling Stations.
With its office at Plot 2646, Off Yakubu Gowon Way, Cadastral Zone A04, Asokoro, Abuja, the Cooperative is the fastest growing Cooperative in NNPCL. Manned by a team of Management Committee with rich, diverse and extensive experience in the downstream petroleum industry with capacity to profitably manage any business organization of any size. Though relatively young, the Cooperative has created a niche for itself and is widely acclaimed as the best managed Cooperative within the NNPC Group having more than twelve (12) other cooperative societies. We buy consumer goods in bulk and sell to Members at discounted prices. The ultimate interest of this scheme is to slice prices of staple foods and make them affordable most especially during festivity periods when prices are unusually high.
